Focus and Scope

DPIBE aimed to publish short articles on various aspects of applying theories of economics and political economy to the international business environment. It featured papers that presented an original argument in a way that was thought-provoking and accessible to anyone with an interest in the application of economics to international business.

In serving as an outlet for educated opinion formed through academic research, DPIBE served to engage students of business economics everywhere in thinking about various issues. In doing so, DPIBE intended to assist in providing experience and exposure for young scholars with an interest in publishing academic articles.

Publication Frequency

DPIBE published a single issue each year between 2008 and 2015.

Open Access Policy

DPIBE continues to provide open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.

Journal History

DPIBE was founded by Prateek Goorha in January 2008 and he was the Editor from January 2008 to July 2011. Volume 8, the final issue of DPIBE, was published in December 2015.
