Upcoming Accredited Online PD Workshop: Teaching Listening & Speaking for EAL/D Learners

ATESOL ACT (Association of Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages in the Australian Capital Territory) is hosting a TQI-accredited online professional development (PD) workshop on how to effectively develop EAL/D learners' listening and speaking skills on Thursday, 29 May 2025.

In this hands-on PD session, Skye Playsted, who has over 20 years' experience as an EAL/D educator and teacher trainer, will model a powerful strategy for building EAL/D learners’ listening and speaking skills using a model text. You'll explore practical techniques for teaching pronunciation and conversation, grounded in current research—and suitable for learners of any age or level.
