Abstract

Animated films like 'The Lion King', 'Stuart Little', 'Shark Tale' and 'The Incredibles' are considered in relation to representations of hunger and especially of bodies marked by hunger. It is argued that the interplay of food and power in these films construct regimes of power, which inexorably privilege white, masculine and middleclass bodies.
